chromium for dysthymia?

Posted by Mendel on April 24, 1999, at 18:05:35

I just read an article which talked about the potential for chromium picolinate to be helpful in treating chronic low level depression. I'm intrigued. Any of you have experience with this. If so please share.

Hmm.

I recently read an article connecting chromium
picolinate to cancer... Why mess with something
that has (a) not been proven effective and (b) is
an unkown quantity w/resepct to side effects?

Some prescription AD's also seen to promote
cancer, although the effect seems very slight and
depression can also cause immune supression which
in turn can promote neoplasms.

If I were to go the "natural route" I would try
St. Johns, omega III's, and plenty of minerals...
Oh, and psychotherapy, the original "natural"
treratment!

Good luck,

S.
