while hepatotoxicity in rare isolated cases have given cylert(pemoline) a bad name, it has an efficacy superior to wellbutrin and effexor with a very low abuse potential.I have had good results in one of my patients with ad/hd and a history of rampant amphetamine dependence at a dose of 75 mg/day whereas he had only minimal benefit with wellbutrin 150 sr bid.
