i can tell you that prozac was discovered while searching for a safe
alternative weigh loss medication to use instead of the amphetimines.
there must be a relation between the SRI"s category of medications with the
phen phen type.....I remember reading in a nursing drug hand book that one
of the SRI was chemically similar to amphetimines. I will have to find that
reference. so it is possible, i suppose that there can be a similar effect

I hope that you are not taking these medicines for the purpose of weight
loss only. these can be extremely dangerous such as cardiovascularly, and n
neuorologically. as we know, amphetimines are addictivie,

I can tell you that from my experience, I have ADD and taking Adderall puts me
to sleep. It does nothing to my appetite. It has given me a new lease on life
in that I can concentrate where in the past everything distracted me away from what
I was doing. My doctor said it was a good indicator that I have ADD since the
adderall has such a calming effect on me. I think that the only effect that would
be similar to a drug of abuse is that i talk a little too much!

I would not recommend taking any medication without the strict supervision of a
qualified medical doctor or psychiatrist. medications are just too dangerous to
mess around with. amphetimines can cause anything from extremely high blood pressure
to heart attack to stroke. these are very dangerous drugs and you need close monitoring
while on them.

I don't know if this has helped you, maybe it will stimulate some discussion about these
medications, there are a lot of questions i would like to have answered. I am on two sri',
depakote and adderall, so it would be interesting to hear about other peoples experiences
and what effects they have had

You mentioned that Adderall put you to sleep. Cylert seemed to do the same to me, tho helping conentration. I sleep too much anyway. Tried various ddosages and schdules, but to no avail.
did you find a way to handle (if it came to that) the drowsiness? Thanks.

I have been using Zoloft and Adderall combined. The Zoloft makes me so tired and I have a hard time concentrating. The Adderall helps counteract the effects of the Zoloft. I only take 50 mg of Zoloft and 10 mg of Adderall. Getting a doctor to give you a scrip for Adderall is next to impossible.. Alot of concern that I will be addicted to it.
