Nefazodone, and Xanax concerns

Posted by Rodney on January 22, 1999, at 0:28:33

I have recently been suscribed Nefazodone and Xanax for a panic disorder and an OCD. I was hoping someone here could inform me of the possible dangers or long-term side effects of these medications, any risks in their combination, and their effectiveness on these disorders. Thanks for any input.......

Rodney,

Just checking, but what doses are you on? It's okay to use these in combination, but a lower than usual (about half) dose of Xanax should be used.

I'm not sure I've heard of these drugs specifically being used for OCD, but similar ones frequently are. Both are definitely effective for panic disorder, Xanax in particular.
