Does anybody have any ideas what is going on? Should I up my does to 60 mg per day. 20 mg did absolutely nothing. I have been on Paxil and Prozak before and they seemed to work and put me on cloud nine after just a few short weeks, but this Celexa stuff just doesn't seem to be working. What's wrong? I thought it was the best you could get right now?
Any replies would be appreciated very much. Thank you.

Celexa is the "best you could get right now" in terms of low incidence of side effects compared to the other SSRI's. I think the max dose ok'd right now by the FDA is 80mg per day so you have room to move up if you need. I also think that 5 weeks is a pretty good trial. Why did you stop the other meds to start Celexa? ~Mel

YIKES!!! I am on 10mg of Celexa for panic disorder and I
have seen immediate resultsll I did not realize the max dose
was 80mg.

Wondering what side effects if any. Would really love to lose weight. How about the sex thing? How long will it take to work considering I've been on Celexa for nearly 6 weeks now? Any advise, opinions are appreciated.

Most peolple are controlled on 20mg of Celexa in europe where the drug has been used for 10 years. It is not uncommon for people to be on 40 mg either. The max dose is 60mg.
