Rohypnol unique?

Posted by alan on November 18, 1998, at 11:31:44

Let me assure you that this question is motivated by nothing but curiousity. Among the benzodiazepinezs, is there really anything unique about rohypnol, besides its nefarious reputation?

As far as i have been able to find, Rohypnol is different than other Benzo's, im not sure how that works out chemically, but i do know that most other Benzo's are anticonvulsants where as Rohypnol is a hypnotic.

Yes, Rohypnol (flunitrazepam is definitely unique...,
for people with serious problems falling asleep.
If all the other Benzos, may they be considered
primarily antianxiety agents, hypnotics, anticon-
vulsants, just don't do their job in a dosage,
in that a collage student can function the next
day, and Barbiturates like pento-, or secobarbital,
(here be referred to what they do to your liver)
are the only solution available in the US, than I
am glad that my mother can prescribe/send me
Rohypnol from Germany, a country, from which a
Rohypnol prescription will be recogniced not result
in possible prosecution, as it might be the case
with Rohypnol from Mexico, a corrupt state, since
it is illegal here in the States.
Rohypnol, taken as it is supposed to, just before
you lie down, will put you to sleep at a comparable
low dose, and after having taken it a few times
you won't even experience any difficulties getting
up in the morning. Furthermore there is no inter-
action with ADD med.s (stimulants). I have been
through everything that is supposed to put you to
sleep, and comparing benefit vs. cost, Rohypnol
is not only number one, but it stands out. What a
shame for the US market not to market it. There are
people out there who might benefit so much from
Rohypnol and after all it is not their fault that
people use it as a drug of abuse, or even worse
and perverse, dump it in girls' cocktails.
That's all I can say to it.
