Thank you Mrs. C you are right about finding the right meds and I am going to try and work really hard at eating right and excercising.
The really strange thing is as much as the weight has been bothering me lately, when it comes to not eating something that I am not suppose to or going to the gym I get the I don't care attitude. It's really crazy - it's almost like the med gives me the I don't care attitude for taking the right steps to lose the weight and then the other side of me makes me crazy over gaining the weight. So hard for me to explain!! does anyone understand what I am trying to say?
Anyways thanks for all your advice...how are you doing?

THanks so much for that. I am already starting to feel better. I saw him this morning and felt like "oh yea, I love this guy"... I think if I did not have so much anxiety that along with the PMS stuff which makes me hate men anyway...I worried about it and that made it even worse. We are going to Las Vegas tomorrow and I think that it will be nice to get away from work and law school for us.
We have had a lot of fun together so far but I freak out and of course it makes it seem like everything is bad...I HATE HORMONES>>>>

I am just checking in to see if anyone posted. I use to get notified on my email, but I don't get notified anymore and I can't understand why - has anyone else had that problem?
The boards are getting quiet now even during the week so I am trying to do my best to post everyday and keep up with everyone and to see how you are all feeling.

I'm new here. I'm getting off of Effexor (nightmare) 40 lb weight gain and I didn't even feel good. I was going to try Lexapro but now I'm reading that it causes weight gain too. ARGHHHH!!! Is there nothing out there that doesn't cause this?? I guess if I'm happy it doesn't matter, but I can't stand myself right now. I have Hep C as well so energy level isn't great on top of depression. I've been on antidepressants for 20 years and never had such a weight gain. Being fat hasn't helped the intimacy part of a marriage either.

I do understand, completely. It is so difficult to do the right thing especially when it comes to food. I just got back from lunch out with the kids. Of course they wanted KFC, which I love. But I ordered the baked chicken and green beans and watched them eat the good stuff. It really sucks!!! I hate skinny people!! Ha Ha just kidding all you skinny girls out there, I just envy you. If you are looking for support and friendship you have come to the right place. These girls, the yo-yo's have been together though thick and thin...we have even been known to throw a fabulous party or two...
40lbs, I am sure that has made you really feel worse. Usually on lexapro I have heard 1/3 gain, 1/3rd lose and 1/3rd stay. I have gained about 7lbs but do feel a lot better. I had depression and anxiety... I am usually feeling better but this week has me with the PMS so I am feeling a little crazy.
I think lexapro is worth a shot, you may want to try it and you will find good friends and support here!!

So my husband and I go for a quiet afternoon of tailgating and this happened 50 feet away from us!!! I heard what I thought was fireworks and then within five minutes, there were more authorities around than I have ever seen in my entire life!!
You may have read about this already, but I was there and SAW MOST OF IT!! Even some of the really BAD stuff, which I don't think you all would want to hear about... Next time, we are tailgating in our driveway!

Yes, I did see the one guy afterwards, It was bad, but I HAD to look or I would have wondered forever about what I didn't see. It was pretty bad, but not like I'm scarred bad. Some people were though...I don't think you have ever heard quiet quite like it at a tailgate party...It is just so eerie they had a game over there yesterday and things run as normal...I guess they have to, but it is just scary, it is less than a half mile from my house, to know there are people out there that make such irrational decisions in a split second is petrifying!!!
Thanks for the email Ms. Mystic. I appreciate you thinking about me! I am fine, really. I swear if I didn't want law and order and ER I wouldn't have been able to stomach it, but I think I was more thinking about what happened and not what it looked like...
