Hi all!!

I haven't posted for awhile but I read every day. I have increased to 20mgs and I am doing really good. It has been a gradual thing, and I have to stop and realize that I had a good day. I really think that the old me is almost all the way back.

I have also just changed birth control pills. Now I am taking the new one called Seasonal. You only have a period every 3 months. I just started them so I will have to let you know how it goes.

I think about all of you every day, just don't know how to say things well. So I'm not ignoring anyone...just a silent partner.

Take care!!

Gator

Hey Lynne..just wrote you on the other post about not being able to find Sandy but we can only do what we can do and we all do enough..I saw jlynne on open last night and she is fine and told her she needed to post as people really worry about her and everyone...we are family...

Do you really think it takes that long for an increase to kick in..I just kindof thought that it would be faster like instant since it was already in my system...I just feel so bad today..Breathing is so difficult i just keep deep breathing to make sure I can..does anyone else have the problem like there is something wrong with your breathing..This rain doesnt help either so sick of it ..and my husband is working alll weekend they are opening a new store and you know how that goes now he will have 8...got to love it...But any feedback would be greatly appreciated I know I can be a total pain the butttttt....luvya all..Mystic

Mystic - You are not a pain in the butt, don't say that!! :-)

Is the breathing problem anxiety? I get like that sometimes too, yet I don't have full blown anxiety attacks. How's your blood pressure? You say you feel bad, but what are your actual symptoms? Just curious to see what it is you go through. I think we all say we feel down and yuck but that could mean different things for each of us. Are you still working out?

How's Ryan doing, you haven't mentioned him much lately. I always feel like time passes faster when I'm playing with a baby! I miss having a baby around (but not enough to have another one!!).

I know it's so hard to be patient when you feel down, but I bet in another week you'll start feeling a difference. Hope you can stay busy this weekend while your husband's gone. Wish I lived close enough to come and cheer you up :-).

Mystic,

You are NOT a pain. You are a blessing. I just wish I had some magic answer for you that would make it all better. But sadly, I don't. I think the "breathing" thing is associated with anxiety. I remember having to remind myself to breathe when I was dealing with anxiety and panic attacks, as odd as it sounds. I would get very dizzy, and then I realized I was subconsciously holding my breath. When the anxiety went away, so did the breathing problem.

Write anytime, Yo sister. We may not have an answer, but sometimes it helps just to talk about it.

God bless.

Do you have something like Xanax to see you through the high-anxiety times?

Is there any way you could "bow out" of something that may be a trigger until you are feeling better?

Thanks lynne you are great...The breathing is just have to breath deaply to make sure I can breath it is weird...I think the worst is not sure if it is anxiety with the actual panic attacks but I go through a lot of times during the day when I have this real rush of fear (remember that when I was a child)...and it goes right through my body then i start to feel that I'm going to just stop existing and lose my mind..just havent heard anyone explain it quite that way it is just a feeling of electricity or something that just goes right through me with fear....

Ryan well he is another whole story that is just the best baby and I'm so grateful that he is in our lives he is soooo good to his mother..he only fusses when he is hungry and he loves just to look around and take baths and he is just wonderful...everyone cant believe how cute he is ...people come up to us in the store and just look at him....*(oh yes and i just have to tell them all about him)..But he sleeps about 4-5 hours a night...Melissa is doing absolutely wonderful she is just a terrific wonderful wonderful mother she is absolutely amazing...she is calm she is nursing and that is going just great....Need i say more could I be prouder...Now I just want to feel good so that I can enjoy it..I want to thank everyone for all there help I truely feel blessed...I love each and everyone of you individually for different reasons...Thank you all...Mystic...Simus thanks for the post and mags as always...good about the up on the meds I think it will make a huge difference and like you I should practice what I preach but it is just so much easier to try to encourage others but i just hate the meds also...We will be here for you...Mystic

Hi Mystic, thanks for explaining it further. It sounds like you're saying it's an old behavior that you don't need anymore, but its become a habit over the years . . . and now you will unlearn it with this new therapy! I had this weird adrenaline rush thing some years back. I had a job that was very stressful and when it was over, it was like my body still needed something to trigger the fight or flight rush so it would do it completely unbidden at odd times. It finally went away, but it was freaky!

My fingers are crossed for you. You deserve to enjoy that little sweetie and not feel so strange all the time. Melissa's a good Mom cuz she has a good role model! I always hear it said, you don't know how you did as a parent until you become a grand-parent and I think there's some truth to that.

You will feel better soon!!

At least you have the courage to try it and that is progress. I will think of you and can't wait to hear about all of the fun you had! Mrs. C

Mystic,
Simus is right. You are a true blessing to everyone here! You know how special you are to me. I sometimes have the breathing thing too especially during allergy season. I panic and wonder why I am having trouble breathing until I realize that my nose is stuffy and I am breathing with my mouth open! Sometimes I even get a little dizzy and think I am having some kind of attack. We all think too much about our bodies and what they are doing. Wish I could stop doing that! Mrs. C

What a blessing that baby has been to your family. I hope that you let Mel know how proud you are of her and what a great Mom she is. We can never hear those words enough! I will talk to you soon. Lexy, my suggestion to you would be to buy the Atkins book. It will tell you everything you need to know and provide some inspiration during the first few difficult weeks. Here what I can tell you in a nutshell. The first two weeks you must give up sugar, dairy, breads, pasta, potatoes, fruit and anything else with carbs. The only carbs you may eat are from vegetables. Eggs, meat, fish, cheese, veggies, butter, oil, olives are allowed. It was very difficult for me the first week but by the second I was feeling better. I ate eggs for breakfast, salad for lunch and meat and a veggie for dinner. For snack I would have an Atkins breakfast bar or sugar-free jello. Buy whipped cream because it is allowed in moderation and really got me through the sugar withdrawals. You will have withdrawals. I felt dizzy at times and had a few headaches. Those only lasted a few days. Once you get through that you feel so wonderful and you have lost weight! After two weeks you may begin to add carbs. I added some fruit, berries are best. I also added the carb friendly ice cream bars which are so soo good! My appetite decreased and I was able to eat less and feel fuller. I absolutely love the diet and have found many wonderful low carb foods at the grocery store. Now that I have lost a good deal of weight I am more liberable with myself but still pretty much stick to low carb eating. I am continuing to lose about a pound a week with cheating on occassion. Good luck to you and if I can think of any more tips I will send them your way. Let me know if I can help at all. Mrs. C
