Hi Jeroen,

Which antipsychotic are you going to try next? Clozapine (Clozaril/Leponex)?

>i feel better really, more energy, happyer

I really glad it's helping :-) I've also read that amantadine can have an antidepressant effect. The related drug memantine (Ebixa/Namenda) is apparantly being tested to see whether it will work as an antidepressant.

hi, do you think 5 mg zyprexa will solve the eye problem? should i take 30 mg zyprexa?

i was almost blind when taking zyprexa 10 mg for 2 weeks, aggressive blinking

after 3 weeks i noticed my blinking was bit less but i discontinued the drug for the nasty weight gain

Hi Jeroen,

It is possible that Zyprexa might reduce the blinking but it is also possible that it might make it worse.

I think you should try taking 2.5 or 5mg Zyprexa. 30mg is a very high dose.

Will you be going to see an ophthalmologist soon?

hi, i just read TD is treatable or reversible with clozaril in general,

also a doctor sais it is reversable within 4 months, my 4 months are almost at an end... i need to do this dont you think? its my last hope to get rid of this...

im affraid to try Clozaril, but if its the only thing that might reverse my tardive dyskinesia

sorry about the urgent matter, but in a few days im going to discuss this with my psy doc...

Hello,

>a doctor sais it is reversable within 4 months, my 4 months are almost at an end... i need to do this dont you think? its my last hope to get rid of this...

No, it is not your last hope. What the doctor probably meant was that if TD is going to improve without treatment, it is most likely to do so within the first four months. TD can be successfully treated at any time.

>im affraid to try Clozaril, but if its the only thing that might reverse my tardive dyskinesia

Clozapine is not the only treatment, there are other treatments that we have discussed.

>also i got taught my cat made me sick, it was her fault, i dont have these taughts when i am unmedicated

Are you having strange thoughts? It could be the amantadine, sometimes amantadine worsens psychotic symptoms. Make sure that you tell your new psych doctor that you are taking amantadine.

Best Regards,
Ed.

the only taught with amantadine was i felt much much better after a week on it, but i did had some taught maybe it was bit euphoria, that i will get cured of my problems, and in the future they can cure everybody perfectly, that theres an answer for everything, i felt good while having these taughts

amantadine caused these taughts... im affraid i will get psychosis of these taughts.. thats whats actually bothering me from the amantadine

seroquel did gave me strange taughts, i heared some people telling you can get psychotic when taking seroquel, im PRETTY sure i got it from that taughts that my cat made me sick and its her fault is not a normal taught, i usually think lot of my cat because of care of her, so these taught are PROOF that its bad!!! i REALLY DONT KNOW ANYMORE!!!!

will Clozaril can make me also psychotic?

i dont want that, im VERY affraid!

That would be very unlikely!

Amantadine takes a while to help TD, you'll need to be patient!! I'm really pleased that you're feeling happier!

will i get agruculosis from Clozapine, that my white blood cells all die?

Hello J,

>will i get agruculosis from Clozapine, that my white blood cells all die?

If your psychiatrist prescribes clozapine you'll need to have a blood test every week to make sure that you have enough white blood cells. About 1 to 2% of people treated with clozapine develop agranulocytosis. The fact that you experienced side effects from Geodon does not mean that you'll be any more likely than anyone else to develop agranulocytosis. If you did develop agranulocytosis you would have to stop clozapine. You would probably be treated with antibiotics and a drug called filgrastim which stimulates the body to make lots of new white blood cells.

thanks for your help at this. my problem started at the age of 14, i went out a lot with friends, had fun
then the misery started

anxiety, social withrawal, paranoia, the fun was over, also at the beginning when i talked it was very slow speech, like i had low energy to do it. also my head was thicker when just it started, i felt watched also, i had a pale face

i also had taughts i was suffering from a disease like cancer. THIS IS A VERY STRANGE EXPERIENCE WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!!!

still no voices, no hallucinations, im 21 now, been treated with GEODON, taught it would be my magical cure, it made me sicker, gave me a disease i never would i expect i get, TD

at the end, someone above doesnt like me very much, im still happy that im alive but everything has it limits

Is this schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder? or another disease?

i heared these nasty conditions start at age of 14 years old...

i feel i am getting weaker and weaker every year.

Hi Jeroen,

>thanks for your help at this.

You're welcome Jeroen :-)

>Is this schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder?

I don't know, I'm not a psychiatrist! Have you asked your doctor for a diagnosis? What does s/he say? Do you have any paranoia at the moment? If you do, how has amantadine affected it?

If you do have schizophrenia, clozapine can be very effective. You'll need to start with a very small daily dose and increase gradually. Clozapine is often very sedating at first but the drowsiness reduces over time.

Wow. You are the first person I have heard with this symptom. I have it too. I have always had this. I think it is one of my most noticeable symptoms. I feel unusual talking because it feels like my speech is slow like it is in slow motion. And, it also feels like it takes an unusual amount of energy to speak. It feels like I am just plain stupid. However, Geodon worked wonders for all this for about two months and then I started to get sedated as you know. I am currently on no meds.

i am now 5 days on amantadine

my eyes feel worse, the uncontrolled eye movements and eye blinking are worser... i am very dissapointed, but i feel better

Leponex will be my last hope, i know the weight gain is a problem but listen

i have important AXID Nizatidine from the united states

will it be a problem if i take this the first few months while on leponex? will it reduce some weight? is it dangerous?

then switch to amantadine IF the eye problem might be gone or cured?

i DO NOT WANT to live with this eye problem the rest of my life, if its like that... i am very confused right now im sorry

but i went to psychiatry today and saw a man with 1 leg, how must he be feeling????

i can tell one thing for sure, this world is doomed!

the geodon is a powerfull american drug, anti psychotic drug to feel better, WRONG!

i just read 50% who take this drug develop tardive dyskinesias, dystonia and other satan conditions that will ruin people for the rest of their lives.

I wanted a happy ending, go out with friends again, i guess god dont want me to be happy

i am starting to get taughts, the hell with everybody
my time has come!

Hi Jeroen,

>i am now 5 days on amantadine
>my eyes feel worse, the uncontrolled eye movements and eye blinking are worser... i am very dissapointed, but i feel better

With amantadine, improvement of TD will take time. The TD symptoms may temporarily get worse before they get better.

>Leponex will be my last hope.

That's just not true! There are several other treatments that may help. Did you discuss Leponex with your new psychiatrist?

>i have important AXID Nizatidine from the united states
>will it be a problem if i take this the first few months while on leponex? will it reduce some weight? is it dangerous?

Nizatidine (Axid) might possibly be helpful in reducing the weight gain. Orlistat (Xenical) may also be helpful. Do not take any more medication without your doctors advice, you may create new problems for yourself. Be sure to tell your doctor that you are taking amantadine.

>I wanted a happy ending, go out with friends again, i guess god dont want me to be happy

You still can go out with friends. What do you like to do?

Ed.
