A poor critic? You. Most certainly not.

I'm sorry poetry leaves you feeling that way. Haiku is so pure, bare and elemental, there's no artifice.

It actually took me a long time to realise that I learn by writing. I tend to read and listen and then write and rewrite until I reach my understanding. As for my personal writing: letters that were never sent, words that were never spoken, experiences that could not be expressed, feelings that were never felt - at least that no-one ever knew were felt. I guess in essence they were fragments from the life of a simple man.
