good for you for surviving the first week.
Sounds like a challenging schedule, so take care to pace yourself.There's nothing pathological about wanting the instructor to like you. Wouldn't it me more pathological to want the instructor to HATE you? ;)
Remember that you have many many weeks to make your excellent impression. You don't have to do it in the first 2 weeks.
(i should take my own advice)
