Phew...
That was close.
For a minute there, I thought you were about to write a few angry words.
I hope that you are not angry with me. That's some pretty intense stuff.
But seriously... I know that you are very upset and perhaps hurt. I suspect that I know why, but that really doesn't matter. I hope you find a place of peace as you process this stuff. Perhaps you can take advantage of these events and use them as a learning experience such that you find new and better ways to respond to them.
My advice (for what little it is worth) is to spend some time working with these issues by employing a mind-set that is receptive to change and that will foster personal growth. Just know that the passage of time will help you heal and make adjustments in your perceptions, judgments, and coping strategies.
Not too long ago, someone called me a stupid, naive, idiotic, a-hole. I responded by telling him that I had been called worse. With that, he proceeded to use the F-word towards me. Again, I told him that I had been called worse. Then he asked me if I thought I had won. I told him that there was nothing to win. I refused to give to someone the power to engage me on their terms. I would not allow them to direct my behavior. It was my goal to remain in control of myself. After all, I had no control over anyone else.
In the meantime, I guess it didn't hurt too much to blow off some steam. Perhaps it was therapeutic. Please don't be too hard on yourself if you come to regret your choice of verbiage. You don't look like a fool. You do look like a human being, though.
I hope there is something here that you find helpful. If not, that's okay with me. Perhaps others will contribute things that resonate with you better.
Take care.
