It's the second time I'll have had to have the motherboard replaced in two years. Fortunately I got an extended warranty, so it won't cost me anything but tons of time and aggravation.
The first thing they do is wipe the hardware, so thank heavens I back up often. Unfortunately, it never works to restore programs from backup for me. There's always some registry problems that are more trouble than they're worth to correct. Soooo... A week or so after the computer returns will be spent reloading all the programs on the computer.
