First off, you probably shouldn't use a poster's real name here. I'm sure it was a mistake, but I figured I should say something.
So was the pic of your husband one you've given out to anyone? Anyone can copy a picture easily enough. I really don't think its anything to worry about. No one has access to any of your info unless you voluntarily gave it out. Facebook is like Myspace, its just a place for people to set up their own web page and interact with each other. If you set up an account with them, then you created your own page. This will only show whatever info you chose to include.
Once you set up a page, then someone can ask to add you as their friend. Each person's page has a list of 'friends'. This is just people who have allowed you to add them to your list. It really doesn't mean anything. They don't have any special access to your information or anything like that. I hope this helps explain things a bit.
