If you do meet, please be sure to do so in a very public place & someone knows when to expect you back - or maybe that you've arranged to phone someone at a certain time & I'd mention, in passing to him that you've been 'mother-henned' into some 'safety precautions' or something like that. JUST IN CASE!
Have you talked about any interests you might have in common, etc? That's always good to know. If it's just that you both like fooling around online & joking/flirting, etc that might not be much to base even a friendship on. I'd say get to know a bit about each other. You may have done that already.
