We thought the Bridge rather than the Opera House should be the background.
Bob had remarked on the bridge.

There's a Grace Cossington Smith painting of the bridge, nearing completion, as a kind of revelation, in 1930 something.

You can enlarge the image to see the picture, but I was amazed when I stood in front of her paintings.....there's this extraordinary brushwork.

I liked talking about the difference between posting and letter/email writing, the evolving nature of the thread and the time constraints thereby imposed, the fact that posting demands an awareness of multiple perspectives as against just two(?) in letter writing.
(A literary version of a bar room argument without the anaesthetic?)
