KK, it's the responsibility of the reader to either avoid what is likely to upset them based on past experience or to cope with the consequences of any upset they might experience when choosing to read something when there are indications (either a trigger warning or past experience with a poster) that they likely will be upset.
If someone keeps sticking their finger in the fire and getting burned, despite warnings and their own aversive experience from each time they did it, what can we do to stop the injury? We can't tie their hands down to prevent them from moving. And it's their fire (as in likelihood of being upset).
It's the reader who has the power to choose what to read and what not to read.
You be you, KK. Everyone else can deal. :)
