Started out with glasses in elementary school. Got contacts in junior high and wore them into my 40s. Then allergies and dry eyes did me in. My eyes are borderline too bad for lasik. My doc said the cataract thing would fix me, too. But my parents are in their late 70s and still don't need surgery! I'm not holding my breath.
My husband DID have cataract surgery, and he sees great. He opted for perfect far vision and over the counter cheap reading glasses.
My glasses are sort of fashionable, too. They are DKNY (totally not my usual style)and a purple metallic that looks black. Sort of a geometric shape. I hate glasses because I feel like there is a barrier between me and the world. And I have beautiful green eyes. Also I can't see near as well as I did with contacts.
