Deneb, this is about 3 hours west of Toronto. There might be photos under Ontario Provincial Parks. Pinery Prov. Pk.

At Pinery there are boardwalks from the parking lots down to the shore. Several campsites have sand paths that meander to the shore. We didn't have that kind this year. Had to take a little walk down the dirt road & then a sand path went through the dunes to the shore.
They make a big deal of NOT walking through the dunes in case we destroy them! I just go on the sand paths, but I know what you mean about trecking up the dunes!
