I think the ensam patch could be a good conversation starter. I feel sorry for you that you got a guy though. Jost, you're a guy, right? Well, isn't one of the perks of the spa experience having a nice lady make you feel special?

I took my husband to my last spa trip. He enjoyed it very much. We had a private room, so that I didn't have to parade in front of the highly coiffed ladies, and I didn't have to give him extensive Q & A to find out exactly where he got massaged lol.

Jost, you might be dissapointed to find out that I LUV to buy those glossy mags. The trashier the better. I buy them whenever I'm travelling. This summer I have been completely up to date on the power couples and their newborns. The ones breaking up with, and being cheated on, and most importantly- the latest fashion in ball gowns, because I wear nothing but ball gowns all day long.

My mother was shocked to find out that her educated, liberated daughter is reading such filth. I was amused to find her looking over my shoulder. These glossy mags are the best way to meet new people in my demographic- white girls with almost enough disposable income to fancy themselves 'well-off'.

And of course they provide plenty of reasons to avoid the sun (the over-orange tan of the Hollywood crew) avoid exercise ("stars" who have nothing better to do than 3 workouts daily) and avoid clubbing (god forbid I should run into Lindsay Lohan, the original 'firecrotch')

Mainly, they are a way to feel morally superior- while still living nobody's American Dream.

The ones that require reading are okay too. I like Vanity Fair, and Elle for those purposes. My favorite magazine, for reading, however, is Playboy. The photography is nice and I am amused by the juxtaposition of some of the finest journalism in the mainstream media, and bunnies who are so dim as to make a big deal out of "eating pepperoni pizza, just like any other girl out there"

LOL.
