When I was in college, I was looking for a job in the town where the school was. I saw a help wanted sign in the window of this place downtown, not far from the school. There were advertisements for juices along with tons of beautiful plants in the window; it looked like a health food store.
When I went inside, there was a juice bar, pool table, groupings of chairs, but no shelves of health food. A lady came out and asked if she could help me. I told her I'd seen the sign in the window and was looking for a job. She told me owner wasn't there, but she said she'd take my name and number. She gave me a piece of paper and was looking for a pen when she blurted out, "Would you have a problem working in the nude?"
Turns out I was in a freaking massage parlor and didn't even realize it!
She was very nice and tried to convince me it was a great job because the tips were great...
It was a long time until I was no longer known as the school's offical "working girl"! ;~}
