Oh, Phillipa,
I'm sorry to hear that you're scared of staying home by yourself. That's really hard. (((Phillipa)))

Can you do some volunteer work during the day, to get out of the house and have a regular schedule, since you're not able to work right now?

Or maybe an exercise class, or take a class at your local community college, art museum or historical society? Is there a choir in your church you can sing in, or a bowling league or something like that?

You're not crazy at all. Back when I used to get summer vacation (in the good ol' days) I would lose track of the days of the week. I was young, and my brain hadn't reached its "sell-by date" yet.

I get stressed and anxious when I have to be apart from my husband. He used to work in the evenings, and I would be at home alone, and every little noise would freak me out. I would get super stressed if he were even 5 minutes late getting home. And of course it's tough on your depression when there's something stressful like this coming up.

Hugs for you Phillipa (((((((Phillipa))))))

sorry you have to go through this. I'll be thinking of you

p.s. if your husband works, maybe you guys can save up and use the money to take a nice vacation somewhere? or buy a boat? or remodel your kitchen? It might help if you reframed his going to work in terms of something to look forward to, rather than a loss.
