The geomancer knows about such forces and external powers, and tries to inform his clients about auspicious days for important events, which spirits need to be appeased, or prayed to, or banished. He knows lucky numbers, and will often read fortunes and even palms. He may also perform ceremonies for the blessing of houses and other important buildings. Occasionally he may even channel spirits, but this is usually left to a shaman.
Yes, it shares many things in common with feng shui, but for a different culture. (i.e. not Chinese)
