what a terrible situation! (((lynn)))
I'm sure your mom will miss you dreadfully, although that doesn't make it OK to manipulate you by threatening suicide or acting out. I'm sure she's only doing it b/c she so badly wants you to stay...she's pulling out all the stops (in her mind) that might work to get you to stay.
If you did leave, could you come visit her on a regular basis? Or have her fly out to visit you? (I don't know if the finances could support this!)
In an ideal world, if your mom was supportive, would you want to move?
