And about the Toronto Babblefest, too. Way too wound up, IMHO. Enough to make people back away.

I just want to relax and get to know some of the lovely and dear people who populate Babble. I don't want a busy busy time. Sure, there is lot to do in Toronto. I'm not going to be charging around trying to fill every empty minute of my time. I will be *looking for* empty minutes, I think. I'm not a member of the Babble community because I am healthy, vigorous, and resilient. I need to pace myself quite carefully. I'm 48 years old, and sometimes the last word of that phrase seems to be the operative one.

Have you ever heard of the concept of black and white thinking? All or nothing thinking? You didn't need to take down your t-shirt ideas. Just give people a chance to find a comfortable and mutually acceptable plan. I'm sure your input will be valued and appreciated, in the end.
