I have family but they're not with me right now. The ex- is terrible about keeping appointments, about getting the children where they need to be when they need to ... I try not to feel any animosity towards him for being so careless, but it's hard, especially when he disrespects me so much. So I'll be spending my Christmas trying not to be angry, and forget about the *ss I was stupid enough to be with at one time, and be with my blood relations and their families tonight, eating yummy food and trying to take part in a hundred different conversations and watching so many dynamics it makes my head spin, but it's fun, until it gets too much, and pain I can't explain drives me away, until I get the courage to go and brave it all again. Whew. I wonder what it's like to be part of a family that has few negative undercurrents, where everybody can be open with everybody and honest and relaxed and there's no hidden animosity for things no one understands.
