I was in the doc's waiting room the other day and watched a woman have a hot flash. I reached into my bag and got out a fan, one of the little folding ones, and handed it to her, and she took it. Keep it, I said, I'm on HRT now, and have more of those at home anyway. I was so glad she kept it, and I know she is using it several times a day. We talked, and it was so nice.
Menopause reaches across all cultures. Some north American women have said that women from Asian cultures don't suffer as we do but it's nonsense. Since I've started perimenopause (several years ago) I've asked many women from various Asian cultures and everyone says the same thing: it's very difficult and women often seek medical advice.
Anyway, feel free to babblemail me if you need to talk about anything about menopause. I don't know if I'll have any answers but I sure do have lots of sympathy!
