david blaine, a street magician of sorts i believe, was encased in a block of ice for 58 hours. he stood the *entire* time (that's 2 days, 10 hours people), had no food, no sleep, could hear nothing, and had to deal with the severe cold, without a shirt on! he trained by immersing himself in tubs of ice water..
i tell ya, i find this guy inspiring..
