Jury duty works differently where I live, so I'm afraid I can't be much help.

But isn't it unlikely you'd be chosen for a case every monday? I'm never chosen at all and I've been tons of times. In fact, I've never even been voir dired or whatever that is. I know I'd never make it past the questioning.

My mother got picked for one, goodness only knows how. Someone skimped on their jury duty consultant fund.
