Isn't the capacity to beat ourselves up amazing? I go through my downs and ups, but the most consistent thing about myself is how much I belittle my abilities. I think that trying to find "closure" (ugh how I hate that term) is a natural consequence of loving and grieving over a love lost or past. Please don't think badly of yourself for attempting to pick up a frayed thread in your life.
