I'm afraid I dont have any pics. There were about 50 people dressed up as nuns (about half a dozen of them men)! Others included a group of 3 people in a sheet who were being the mountains(!), some who were puppets, a goatherd etc.

All very jolly- there was about an hour first with a host(dressed as a hostess..) who did some jokes and then told us what to do with the various things in our bags (eg party invitation, picture of maria, small plastic flower to wave during edelweis) and instructions such as cheering every time Maria appeared, and boo-ing any baddies!

More like a party than a film- a fair amount of people chatting (and going out to get drinks). It started at 7.30 and ended at 11.30!

I was SO grateful I was well enough to go- there have been a load of things I havent been able to go to in the last few months, but got away with this one!

There was a TV programme here last night about the films that had the highest attendance in the UK over the years. Sound of Music was 2nd (30 million tickets (in UK that is 30,000,000)! Only beaten by 'Gone with the Wind')

Anyway, yes it was lots of fun- hope there is one around your way sometime.

Thanks for remembering!

Fi
