These storms have been like some gigantic Roomba, Florida-sized, that bump about from the Atlantic to Gulf of Mexico coasts, before finding the exit to the next state. You can see the resiliency of the residents wearing thin. At least with this last hurricane I was able to shut myself off and slept through most of it. Woke up when the lights went back on, then turned them off and slept again.
No damage to our home, lost power only briefly, unlike, what - 2 million power customers? Our fortune is by chance alone, yet in my head, some damage has been wrought.
Concentration is out the window. Can't follow conversations. Temper is hair-trigger, I am so very tired. No more, please. No more.
