apples and oranges, i think.

i can be on top of the world with tons of self-esteem: i can do anything, i'm awesome, i rock, i'm wonderful... but zero self-respect: i'm so awesome i can have anyone i want (sexually), and do, without realising that this is very disrespectful to myself to engage in these behaviors without any real substance behind the relationships. i also think it's a lack of self-respect that causes people to engage in "risky" sexual behaviours, which i have done, while thinking i was hot sh*t for being able to do so in the first place.

if that makes sense.

just my two cents.
