My apple experience and knowledge consist of my entire family being part of the harvest of a family friend's orchard. We'd be paid in apple juice that dad either made into cider, or blew up bottles attempting to do so. The farmer would bring a picnic lunch out to us in the orchard. It was such an idyllic time that I have used this scene in my meditations.
The smell of freshly pressed apples transports me to those summers, when I was young and stupid.
