Lord....sorry that I posted the question and didn't write back immediately......it's been a crazy week! (I am still so wound up even though it's so late at night, since I just got home.)
You know, I can really relate to when people say that the movie is boring or too emotionally-triggering. To me, the movie was threaded togther with something so.....subtle, and I definitely can't watch it when I am "down" cause otherwise I might fall asleep or become depressed. Yet, I love it.
Love it; love it; love it.
Perhaps it's because I found the images poetic and the details thoughtful. I also love the subject matter (hmmm...that sounds a little weird.) What I meant is that I love how deep and heavy the movie took us, and how it showed the depth of depression. (Just my opinion...of course.) The tension in the movie was great; to me it showed the emotional tension that perhaps at times exist in real life yet unnamed. Just my two cents. :)
Did you guys know that that this same director directed Billy Elliot, too? Now, I love that one, too. (Go, Billy!)
Okay, must go pipe down. You guys are great.
