I don't think you are awful Karen. In fact, your sense of humor seems similar to mine. :) I do the same thing that you describe. I get crushes on older men, and then when I see their wife, I am just amazed that they aren't absolutely flawless. I think it is because I idealize the guy to the point where I think he can't possibly be married to anyone except Nicole Kidman. I think we just think that they are so handsome, that the wife just isn't pretty enough for them, if that makes sense. In reality, she is probably a really caring, supportive woman.
