Gabbi....I know this brings little solace, but you are absolutely not alone here. I live in Ontario also, a land which has waged war against the poor and..well *anyone* who isn't rich! Since the PC's have gotten in power in 1995, they haven't raised the minimum working wage even .01 cent! They *reduced* welfare-disability rates, and introduced the doomed and stupid 'workfare' bull. They removed rent controls...made it harder to get student loans...played a part in raising tuition costs beyond anything like we have ever seen. Their 'privatization' cr*p is one of the many reasons we where hit so hard by the recent blackouts. (I know there are many reasons..but this is one, and I will gladley pass on evidence for those who need to know.)

I know this may all seem trivial and little...but on next election day, kick the bas*ards outta office! Ontario and Canada where once known as a place proud of it's kindness and community of helping each other. We can, and *gotta*, get some of that back...for your, mine, and so many million living with these horrible mental illnesses. There is far too strong a co-relation between poverty and mental illness. It is *not* yourbudgetting...but the budget of a government who enjoy their feast of decadence for them and their few little rich friends out playing golf, while the rest of us suffer.

By the way...do you know of the 'Mood Disorders of Ontario' group? Very fine people who can provide that extra little nudge of help when you are at the edge. (Or over it..or whatever.)

Peace and best wishes...
Jay
