Well she's actually a character now too. like maybe there's a show. But I think "they" are making an effort to give her a career and have her be a good model for the kids.
Now when I was a kid, she pretty much waited for Ken to come from work.
But that purple Corvette...that was so cool. But it was bought with Ken's money, no doubt. And he probably only let her drive it under certain circumstances. Oh hell, she probably wasn't even permitted to get a driver's license...Did you have that box that served as a wardrobe for her? There was a place for her shoes and all. I lovved the shoes. oh and her boots. Speaking of fulfilling the shopping impulse but for less money...I think it worked the opposite for me!

My friend's mom has a Barbie collection and keeps them IN THEIR BOXES in a special room in the house. She never had a daughter...maybe that's why. Yechhhh. If you're gonna have 'em you should be able to play with them!
