night is over. why sleep when there's so much thinking to do? if only my mental energy could be harnessed to fuel a tiny electric generator. I could fuel a tiny lamp. For a tiny mouse in a tiny armchair reading a tiny newspaper wearing tiny slippers on his tiny paws. (The mouse can't sleep, so he sits up in his chair reading all night. If it weren't for me, lying here in the dark, my mental energy fueling his tiny lamp, he'd also be lying in the dark, his mental energy fueling a tiny lamp for a family of paramecium. Sure they are one-celled organisms, but they's good people.)
