First, they don't answer ANY letters directed to them, so they never need to be bothered with defending any of the information that they publish. I think most responsible journalism, or any journalism that is based in fact should be able to stand up to criticism, and omiting this type of rebuttle I think does not go any further to proving whatever point they were trying to make.

I also think that at times they can be overtly Idealist in nature. Its fine to think that consumerism is damaging to society as a whole, which I wholeheartedly agree with, but what drives consumerism? Surely it can't be just the constant pressure of advertising, yet some other lack in people's lives which may or may not have anything at all to do w/ the 'powers that be' that drive said advertising campaigns...

It's a great magazine, run by great graphic designers, and makes very good points about the nature of our society and the constant stresses upon it which ultimately lead to the breakdown of that society... I could just deal w/ a little more parity in their writing...

Their critique of anti-depressants was a little bit much for me, and other readers as well who voiced their opinions in the letters page.
