Are you saying chat isnt permanent?
If you are then Ill tell you as a computer professional that you should never assume that. Everything online can be tracked, traced, logged, you name it and you dont even know who is doing it. If yahoo wants to they can log all chats. In fact many sites do this for example when a celebrity is chatting and then they post the chat log to a website for people to read who couldnt be there.
