Garfield's motto is delicious ( I love his 'nap attacks'- including face down into pizza- too!)

*Some* things go away but a lot dont. I've finally got round to getting a builder to give me an estimate today for some things I have to get done, some of which have been needing done for literally years. I'm nearly always feeling guilty re something crucial I'm putting off- its a real drain.

I think the flyladies idea of 15 mins decluttering daily (or any other activity) is great, maybe along with prioritising and only doing what has to be done.

I heard of a local council, totally swamped in work, where they never answered letters unless someone rang up later. Quite a crafty, if not entirely ethical, approach!

The work I do has involved contact with students and others doing projects. Leaving it to the last possible minute seems to be (nearly) universal! I think the craftiest bunch are journalists- the ones I have worked with it make it a virtue that they are doing it late ('my deadline is 30 minutes!') which is fair enough in breaking news, but rather harder to stomach when they are doing a background feature they have had 4 months to prepare!

Just also to say nice that the Board is there, today. I'm a bit upset re a work project going wrong. Its no big deal and I'll be fine in a few hours, but its really nice to be able to 'chat' with some sympathetic mates about something else!
