what a day...bleh

Posted by Katey on December 11, 2001, at 22:33:08

procrastination is the god of destruction. i tried to head it off today by taking the afternoon off to go research at the library. i had forgotten how much i hate parking downtown and how much i hate being on unfamiliar campuses. i didnt get everything done that i wanted to because i had to go try and pay a ticket so that i dont have to go to court tomorrow. only to discover that i dont have my ticket. so after investigating my car, driving home, investigating my rooms, and concluding that i must have left my planner (where i put the ticket for safe keeping) at school. so i got the joy of racing back down town to run in, grab my planner, race down town, try to figure out which building i have to go in. i ended up going to the state building, hoping someone would give me directions to the county building. they do, i have about ten minutes before they close and im about five blocks away, so i decide to leave my car parked illegally, and make a run for it. only to find out that its five blocks down and one block over. that i went into the wrong building first, then when i made it to the second building i was too late by five minutes. meanwhile in route i had given myself an asthma attack (which is funny because i dont have asthma). so then i had to go all the way back to my car, which was parked two blocks down from the first building. i got myself back to driving at about 4:55, which is great because i have to be at work at 5. i was also gasping and wheezing and searching the floor of my car for any bottles that might have liquid in them. i managed to be only five minutes late for work, which is amazing considering the distance. but, our time clock is all electrical and stuff, so even if your one minute late its still a tardy. im completely out of it at work and im sure i annoyed almost all of my customers. i also frustrated myself, couldnt stop yawning over the phone, and i kept having to press mute so i could hack up a lung. it was fun. i come home from work to do physics with my friend. we only get about half of our plan accomplished. and now its 10:30, im dead tired, and i have a major project due tomorrow. im hoping to go to bed around now, and wake up around 4 or 4:30 so i can take a stab at my project, since ive had all semester to work on it. it feels so good to vent. may all of you have better days tomorrow.
