no no no no. susan and i need a referee right away!!!

brits call cotton balls cotton wool, even tho it's not wool at all. right dreamer, nikki, etc.??

they call cotton swabs cotton buds, you silly little mousie....

ear wigs are those little buggies that have pincers on their back ends...

duking it out here, "we need heeeellllppppp...."

love, W.

> and probably cotton wool is called that cause wool comes in rovings which are used by spinners...they are pre prepared (washed and carded and rolled into these fluffy sausage shaped things)...which make spinning a dream, just a dream, unless, of course, you like to spin directly from the fleece, then you get bits of dirt and poop and straw in your lap....but the lanolin on your hands is wonderful and it knits up into a fine water resistant, though initially, smelly, hat. Someone told me once how she had diligently saved the fluff from her samoyd husky dog and spun it into wool which she knit into a fine sweater...and it took her awhile to figure out, why, when it rained, gangs of male dogs would follow her...then she remembered her female had been in heat when she got the hair...
