Epileptic Monsters?

Posted by Lisa Simpson on June 13, 2001, at 6:53:22

Hi. I have had several fits over the last two years - no-one really knows why (although they started after I had a serious asthma attack and had to be intubated and ventilated, so possibly it has something to do with that.)

Anyway, I have been told that just before an attack, I stop and look over my shoulder at something behind me, looking frightened. I have heard that people who have seizures sometimes get a "warning" like a visual aura, or a smell. Is it possible that I am actually seeing something that's not there just before an attack, perhaps a monster? If anyone could tell me if that's a possibility, I would be very grateful. Sounds daft, I know!

Thanks.

Lisa
