do doctors have empathy re:time?

Posted by geekUK on May 23, 2001, at 22:15:40

I think if my math is correct, that you can only take 6 different meds in a year that take 8 weeks to get a full effect. as i have tryed more than four SSRI's and had no effect (so far) how long do the docs expect me to wait. 8 weeks Is a hell of a long time when your depressed- even the next few hours seem like hell waiting to happen. has anyone got mad/set the doctor a timescale to work around/ told the doctor what you want to do next? what were the results? and was it with the NHS?
