She's incredible - she tunes into to different things that my therapist does...remembers everything...almost as if she's listening more. My therapist is great, too - I just think they key into different things.

Anyhow, she sometimes says that when we talk, I actually put myself into a trance, which sometimes I do feel. Then, she does the typical "counting backward thing" I was skeptical at first, and nervous I wouldn't "let myself go" and thus, not get anything out of it. But then I realized that the whole point is just to get relaxed enough to let things flow into my mind, which having someone non-judgemental and loving does in a sense, anyhow. Sometimes I have almost fallen asleep, waking up periodically to worry I wasn't getting it, other times I was worried I was supposed to be more "under" Usually I seem to get something out of it. The latest was a guided imagery (You are walking down a path, what does it look like?...) I found myself in an attic as an old woman..She suggested i look in the mirror - I was fit, with long grey hair, and going through, with pride, artifacts from my youth. In this state of hypnosis, I started crying. For me, fighting depression, feeling hopeless about the future, this totally imprompted vision of what to me is a fulfiling life gave me hope, gave me faith in my future.

I've gone on too long - but, I'd at least reccommend trying it...

Unfortunatley not covered by insurance, so I've had to quit going for now... Maybe after bing reminded that it did work to get me in a more positive, motivated state of mind, I might need to go back -
