The question about early morning waking is a really good one. I've never seen any attempt at an explanation, but it acts like a barometer in measuring the depths of my depression. It's impossible to feign as well, unless you are going to bed too early. That's often an accusation, but we know it's not true don't we? Otherwise why would we lie awake from 4:00 am till it's time to go to work and then suddenly become comatose?
