I hear you. I have 3 checking accounts because it is the only way for me to manage my money: one for day-to-day (gas, food, etc.), one for monthly bills, etc., and one (ideally) for savings (I don't let myself have an ATM card for that one).
If I don't split up my day-to-day money from my bills, I have no hope of getting them paid. :)
