Antidepressants a priority for major depression

Posted by Squiggles on April 25, 2008, at 8:15:07

As things stand now, it seems that i was
right in the first place. My advice would
be to not make any major life decisions when
you are an unmedicated patient with major
clinical depression. Your entire world may
collapse and there is a serious impact on your friends and relatives. Things have changed and it's all because of the reinstatement of the medication. I do not understand why doctors do not keep seriously mentally ill patients on medications. I know that it is against the law to practice forced medication but at least a referral or kind encouragement might help. This may prevent violence, and in this case the patient did come near death. It's still a crappy drug, but thank God the patient went to emergency and is now much better as is our relationship.
